ANOTHER three people have died in Scotland after contracting coronavirus, Nicola Sturgeon has announced.

Giving an update at the Scottish Government’s briefing, the First Minister warned that a technical error with the reporting system meant today’s figures may be slightly lower than expected, while figures over the coming days may be higher.

Three deaths were recorded among people to have tested positive for Covid-19 over the previous 28 days.

A further 369 cases were confirmed, with a test positivity rate of 6.1%.

Some 1041 people are in hospital with recently confirmed coronavirus, eight fewer than 24 hours previously.

Of those, 75 are in intensive care, a decrease of one.

A total of 133 of the new cases were in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 49 were in Lanarkshire and 48 were in Lothian.

The other cases were spread across eight other mainland health boards.
