2 The Scottish Music Awards returns as a virtual event for the first time ever, raising vital funds for Nordoff Robbins music therapy charity and celebrating the biggest and best names in Scottish music. For the past 21 years, the Specsavers Scottish Music Awards have honoured some of the country’s biggest international stars from Annie Lennox to Susan Boyle, whilst celebrating Scotland’s best up-and-coming talent, all to raise funds for the UK’s largest independent music therapy charity. Like many other charities, Nordoff Robbins have been severely impacted by Covid-19 so this show is a chance for you to enjoy a great online event and also help the charity.

5 Christmas might be a little different this year but there’s still plenty of festive cheer in Paisley town centre with the Christmas Buddie Bear Hunt! Paisley First has joined forces with Renfrewshire Council this Christmas to pay tribute to the heroes of 2020, with every Buddie Bear dedicated to a key worker. Just follow the trail around town and name all the key workers for your chance to be entered into the Christmas Prize Draw! This Covid-friendly Christmas Trail will be running in the town centre today from 9am-4pm.
6 The biggest event this week is the big Pre-SNP conference night out. Put together by the Aberdeen Independence Movement, they have an interview with this newspaper’s very own Richard Walker. We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
