WITH Nicola Sturgeon announcing that the first Scots may be given a coronavirus vaccine before Christmas and the nation’s men’s team through to their first major football finals in over two decades, Scotland has had a good week. The Union, not so much.
In this week’s State of the Union podcast, Stephen Paton casts an eye over Alister Jack’s wild claim that a generation lasts up to 40 years.
This means quite a few of us are in the same generation as our parents, or even our grandparents, which will come as news to many.
Or, as Paton asks, is a generation just as long as the Tories need it to be? Like everything else, are they just making it up as they go along?
The US election and John Major’s idea for an indyref3 are also on the dissecting table this Friday as Paton brings us another bite-size breakdown of the latest news on Scottish independence.
