ABERDEEN Independence Movement has attracted a stellar line-up for its virtual pre-SNP Conference event.
The latest speaker to join the panel is Valentina Servera Clavell who will be a keynote speaker at the event which will take place on November 27 from 6pm to 10pm. It’s being hosted on Hopin.to and you can get more information from the Aberdeeen Independence Movement (AIM) Facebook page.
AIM stated that tickets are selling out fast for “a night of fantastic entertainment, engaging political panels and keynote speeches from leading figures.”
One of the most active of all Yes groups, AIM was set up by a group of local activists and professionals to campaign for Scottish independence.
They added: “We have music, comedy, political discussion and keynote speakers. We have award-winning singer Iona Fyfe, top-class comedian Viv Gee and the one-and-only Alan Bisset.
“So far we have already confirmed a number of leading voices in the independence movement including Miriam Brett, Tom Wills, Richard Thomson MP, Stacey Bradley, Pete Wishart MP, Vicky Harper and Charlotte Armitage, with more to be announced in the coming days.”
This is a ticketed event, with standard tickets costing £10, but AIM said last night that early bird discount tickets will likely sell out today or tomorrow.
The National understands that Constitution Secretary Michael Russell MSP will also be a speaker at the event.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
