JANEY Godley's latest sketches to have her audience in hysterics see her answering the phone to Donald Trump, taking the role of his public relations manager.
The job is not one Godley is likely to have taken in real life, as she made worldwide headlines in 2016 by carrying a sign saying "Trump is a c***" around his Turnberry golf club.
Nevertheless, Godley's videos have brightened up a seemingly never-ending US election.

In the first video, posted on November 4, Godley can be heard explaining how a democratic election works down the phone to a whiney and angry "Trump".
After an increasingly heated exchange, Godley finishes: "I should never have been his PR."

Today, as a Biden victory seems a matter of when and not if, Trump has apparently called the Scottish comedian again.

This time, the incumbent can be heard to complain that he doesn't want to leave "the White Hoose".
Godley tries to talk some sense into her "pal" (they only pretended to hate each other on social media) and convinces him to leave Joe Biden a nice letter.

While Trump will soon be out of the Oval Office and (hopefully) the public eye, let's hope Godley's videos will be sticking around for a fair while yet.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
