OVER the past five weeks, we’ve seen the neighbours’ lives become inextricably tangled, and in tonight’s final episode of the Doctor Foster drama spin-off we find out what the fallout will be. As Hannah’s wedding day arrives, she finally confronts the question that has plagued her since Andy came back into her life. Gail realises she may be the only one who can help – but will she do the right thing? Meanwhile, David explores memories of his own marriage, and Belle forms an unlikely alliance.

Aung San Suu Kyi: The Fall of an Icon (BBC2, 9pm)

SHE was once seen as a beacon for universal human rights and in 1991, Aung San Suu Kyi was even awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, but since she became Myanmar’s de facto leader in 2016, Suu Kyi has been rounded on by international leaders and activists outraged by the exodus of Rohingya Muslims and accusing her of doing nothing to stop rape, murder and possible genocide. In this documentary, those close to her reveal how and why a once heralded leader has seemingly fallen from grace.

Leeds - United!: Play for Today (BBC4 10pm)

ORIGINALLY shown in 1974, this drama, written by Colin Welland and directed by Roy Battersby, was based on an unofficial strike among female textile workers in Leeds in 1970, as they demanded equal pay with the men. Following its original broadcast, the play’s accuracy was challenged by employers and unions, and there was some controversy on the use of profanity by women in the film.

BBC US Election 2020 (BBC1, 11.30pm)

KATTY Kay and Andrew Neil present the results programme as the race to become president of the United States reaches its dramatic conclusion.

Kay will be broadcasting from Washington DC, with Neil providing interviews and analysis from London. Jon Sopel and Clive Myrie will be with the Trump and Biden campaigns, and reporters including Emily Maitlis and Nick Bryant will be in the crucial battleground states. A panel of experts will assess how the night is unfolding, how the campaign was won and lost, and the impact the US electorate’s decision will have on the years ahead.
