ANOTHER person has died in Scotland after contracting coronavirus, the Scottish Government has announced.

The latest 24-hour update shows one death* among patients who recently tested positive, bringing the total under that measurement to 2700.

A further 1303 cases were also recorded. The daily test positivity rate is 7.9%, down from 8.7% on Saturday.

Some 1016 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19, an increase of 31.

Of those, 86 were in intensive care, up by 2.

Of the new cases, 437 are in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 341 in Lanarkshire, 155 in Lothian, and 132 in Ayrshire and Arran.
