THE BBC's live screening of the House of Commons Brexit debate today was cut off just as the SNP were about to have their say.

In a move which has been described as “disappointing but predictable”, the corporation cut back to their studio after Theresa May and Michael Gove's exchange, leaving viewers to wonder what the SNP's Pete Wishart had been about to say.

The representative for Perth and North Perthshire only managed to say: “And thank you very much Mr Speaker. So, here we go the …” before he was faded out by the BBC News 24 channel.

Wishart has since said "it's time the BBC showed the people of Scotland some respect" and allowed them to hear "the voices of those who represent them".
