MANCHESTER United players have been getting a hard time on social media recently after their shock 6-1 defeat at home to Jose Mourinho's Spurs on Sunday.

The defeat was one of the heaviest United have suffered in years and rival fans and neutrals alike have been poking fun at the club's misfortune.

Plenty of criticism was heaped on England international centre-half Harry Maguire, with the former Leicester City player having a fairly torrid time of it.

And now Cambuslang Rangers have got in on the act, pouring a little more salt on the defender's wounds.

Writing on Twitter, the club's official account posted: "Cambuslang Rangers are today delighted to announce that Harry Maguire has not joined on a 3-year-deal at the club."

They added: "We have been aware of Harry's ability for some time now and we are very pleased that he has not joined our squad.

"We look forward to seeing him in action a little bit longer at his current club."
