THE delay in allowing fans to return to stadiums is “political, rather than clinical”, according to two of Scotland’s top football administrators.

Scottish FA vice-president Mike Mulraney made the claim and was supported by SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster.

With these two in charge of Scottish football no wonder it’s in the state it’s in. I’m sure all fans would love to get back to watching football in the traditional manner, even on a cold, wet day in Scotland.

Maybe either of these two recently qualified virus experts could tell us why the Scottish Government for some evil, bizarre, perverse political reason wants to keep football fans out of football grounds?

Could it really be that the Government does in fact not want the fans to catch a potentially fatal disease and take it home to their family, friends and neighbours?

When Mr Doncaster meets with Sports Minister Joe FitzPatrick, I hope that Joe puts on his football boots, shows this man a big red card and points to the door of his office.
