ANOTHER 764 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Scotland over the last 24 hours, the Scottish Government’s data has shown.

The number of cases represents 12.1% of all people newly tested.

Four more people have died with coronavirus after testing positive in the last 28 days, bringing the total under this measurement to 2530 since the start of the pandemic.

The figures revealed there are now 191 people in hospital with coronavirus, an increase of 16 on the previous day.

There were also 23 people in intensive care with Covid-19 – up four of the previous day.

The data shows 299 of the new cases are in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area, 152 are in Lanarkshire, 142 are in Lothian, and the remaining cases are spread across nine other health board areas.
