RISHI Sunak has a winter economy plan. He also seems to have a 30-day free trial to Adobe photoshop.

Taking to Twitter earlier, the UK Chancellor announced he would be announcing the details of the expected extension (or replacement) of the furlough scheme in the House of Commons tomorrow.

However, the way in which he did it left many asking if he wasn't preparing to announce something else altogether, perhaps a new album or a fashion range.

Sunak became Chancellor after his predecessor, Sajid Javid, refused to fire every single one of his political advisers to keep the job.

At the time, Javid said: “I was unable to accept those conditions and I do not believe any self-respecting minister would accept those conditions.”

Javid seems to have been very wrong. If there's one thing Sunak seems to respect it is himself, and his own signature.

Whatever inspired the Chancellor, as The Guardian's Heather Stewart added: "Hope they've spent as long thinking about the policy as the branding..."
