POLICE are at the scene of an assault in Renfrew.
There were a number of officers in attendance at the scene on Clyde Street earlier this evening. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Scottish were also on the scene.
An eyewitness said: " It looks like a chemical attack on someone but not too sure. Police were washing a man down and removing his clothes. All emergency services are at scene."
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Police were called around 6.15pm to an assault following a disturbance in Clyde Street, Renfrew.
"Officers are out dealing with this incident and the injured parties have been taken to hospital."
