ANOTHER person has died in Scotland after contracting coronavirus, it has been confirmed.

The latest Government update shows one death was registered in the past 24 hours, bringing the toll among confirmed patients to 2506.

A further 383 cases have also been registered – 7.6% of newly tested individuals.

Some 73 people were in hospital with recently confirmed coronavirus, no change on the day before.

Of those, 10 were in intensive care – a rise of two.

No cases were recorded in the Borders, Western Isles, Orkney or Sherland
