A NUMBER of pupils and staff at a Lanarkshire school have tested positive for Covid-19.
Health bosses have moved in to St Helen's Primary School, in Cumbernauld, following the cluster outbreak this month.
Four kids and four staff members have tested postive but education bosses insist the risk to the wider public is low.

NHS Lanarkshire confirmed contact tracing has been carried out, with those who contracted the bug currently in quarantine.
Ashley Goodfellow, NHS Lanarkshire consultant in public health, said: “NHS Lanarkshire’s test and protect team has carried out contact tracing after four pupils and four staff members of St Helen’s Primary School tested positive for Covid-19. All those who tested positive are currently self-isolating at home.

“NHS Lanarkshire is working closely with North Lanarkshire Council with regards to the cases and has now contacted all close contacts. Public health advice has been given to these individuals and they are being told to self-isolate.”
“The risk to the wider school community is currently low and the school will remain open as normal.”
