A TEENAGER is to be hauled in front of the Children's Reporter after an internet troll was set up in the name of Alesha MacPhail's killer.

Cops have confirmed a 15-year-old boy has been identified in connection with an “online communication offence” after an Instagram page pretended to be Aaron Campbell.

The schoolboy, then 16, murdered six-year-old Alesha, from Airdrie, on the Isle of Bute in July 2018.

The account taunted Alesha’s mum Georgina Lochrane by branding her daughter’s murderer a ‘legend’ and trying to follow her.

Ms Lochrane said at the time: ''The police can't and won't do nothing so can't be reported to them thank you everyone for reporting if you do this it should get removed.

''This thing has already tried to follow me, one sick mother f*****.

An arrest has not been made but the Children’s Reporter will decide how to deal with the case and whether to refer the boy to an official hearing.
