KIND-HEARTED volunteers have delivered thousands of meals to people in Glasgow’s East End hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Families in the likes of Dennistoun, Easterhouse, and Shettleston have been given the boost by Barrhead-based charity Include Me 2 Club.
Thousands of support packages have been handed out by IM2C, which is based in the East Renfrewshire town’s James McGuire building.
Paul Mcilvenny, chair of IM2C, said: “Throughout the pandemic, we have been helping our members, and we knew there was a lot of need there, so we applied for money from
the Scottish Wellbeing Fund.
“The Community Meals project provided a main meal and was delivered daily, by our amazing team of volunteers and supporters.
“The recipient got daily meals across the week, so it left no gaps, especially for those who were shielding or couldn’t leave the house.”
