PG CIARLETTA is preparing to launch himself onto the music scene after producing an album’s worth of material during lockdown.

The singer will unveil his first single this Friday, August 28, with a second track on the way.

An EP or an album is also on the cards for 2021, with the Kirkcaldy man readying his assault on the singer-songwriter charts.

After playing pubs and open mic nights with his acoustic guitar, the 26-year-old saw his burgeoning performing career brought to a halt by the outbreak of Covid-19.

However, after a moment of “now or never” realisation, the Scottish-Italian rallied against the constraints of lockdown and unleashed his creativity.

His inaugural track The Sesh will be released this week, with a follow-up set for September and an EP or album further down the line.

The singer is keen for music fans to connect with his work, as he uses everyday life as his inspiration.

He says: “This is exactly what The Sesh is about - everyone has been on a ‘sesh’ that has gone too far, right? And experienced the contributing factors, and resulting highs and lows.”

Eager to get his music out there, Ciarletta admits his eyes are already on reaching the very highest levels.

“I believe there is a sound and a market out there, "he adds. "And hope that people will get right behind the music.

"Ultimately, the aim is to get the first singles on the media platforms and create a buzz but long-term the dream is to sell-out Hampden Park.”

The Sesh is available to pre-order from iTunes, Amazon and Google Play from today (Wednesday, August 19), and will be released on all media-streaming platforms from Friday, August 28.
