A FURTHER 52 coronavirus cases have been identified in Scotland over the last 24 hours, according to the latest Scottish Government figures.
Speaking at the daily briefing, the First Minister said that the provisional information shows that 27 of these new cases are thought to be in the NHS Grampian area, while 13 are in the NHS Greater Glasgow area.
Nicola Sturgeon said the new cases in the Glasgow area will be closely looked at.

The First Minister added there were two more people in hospital with Covid-19, but no change on the number of patients in ICU which remains three.
There have been no further deaths of patients who have received a positive coronavirus test in the last 28 days.
Sturgeon also gave an update on the Aberdeen coronavirus cluster outbreak. She said since July 26, 253 cases have been identified in the area, and it is thought 165 of these are connected to the cluster linked to hospitality premises.
Test and Protect has traced 875 contacts, but Sturgeon stressed it is likely there will be cross-over between cases so this figure may not represent 875 people.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
