BUDGET airline Ryanair says its flights to and from Spain are still “operating normally” after the Foreign Office advised against all non-essential travel to the country.
The UK and Scottish governments changed guidance at the weekend following new spikes of Covid-19 in Spain, meaning people coming into the UK from the country must self-isolate for 14 days.
Jet2 has suspended its flights and holiday programme to Spain until August 16. TUI had already cancelled holidays to mainland Spain up to August 9, and has now cancelled holidays to the Balearic and Canary islands until Friday.

But Ryan says its schedules are “operating normally”.
The Scottish Government reimposed restrictions on travellers coming from Spain after new data on coronavirus infections provided “cause for concern”.
In Spain, officials say the virus is under control and are calling for certain tourist hotspots to be made exempt from quarantine rules.
Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez said last night that the UK’s decision on self-isolation rules was “misguided”, adding he will try to negotiate with ministers across the four nations on the matter.
