Bake Off: The Professionals (C4, 8pm)

LIAM Charles and Tom Allen present the semi-final as the four remaining teams face the secret recipe challenge and if they are going to impress, the contestants will have to prove that they can really work together. For the second challenge, Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden ask them to create a Charlotte Russe display, which they will need to serve up in a World of Magic-inspired piece of gourmet theatre. The hopefuls have five hours to prepare their different elements, but once it’s time to present to the judges, they will have just three minutes to transform their table into a work of edible illusion.

Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby (BBC2, 8pm)

GILES Coren and Monica Galetti join the staff working in some of the most unusual hotels around the world. This time, they help out at The Torridon, Britain’s most northerly five-star hotel. Its need to balance a luxury stay with being self-sufficient has Monica collecting seaweed for the kitchen and helping to herd Highland cattle, while Giles learns to change toilet seats and joins the staff for a swim in the freezing-cold loch.

The Secrets She Keeps (BBC1, 9pm)

THE six-part domestic noir series based on Michael Robotham’s novel comes to a close this week. With no money and Rory’s health faltering, Agatha finds refuge in the storeroom of her old workplace. Meghan and Jack are at breaking point until Agatha takes a phone call from Hayden, who is in police custody. How will the whole saga be wrapped up? TSSK is a complete work, but fans will still be on tenterhooks to see if this plays out in the same way as the novel.

The Real Eastenders (C4, 10pm)

THE docks of the Isle of Dogs were once more than just the heart of London’s East End – they also played a key part in the British empire. While those days may have gone, this documentary finds some old ways remain, with many locals able to trace their roots back six generations. The film captures the “Island” as seen through the eyes of the children growing up on its council estates, including Leslie, 12, who has ambitions to combine a job as an electrician with a career as a part-time rapper.
