NO new coronavirus deaths have been reported in Scotland in the last 24 hours, the First Minister has confirmed.

A total of 2490 patients have died in Scotland after testing positive for coronavirus, no change on yesterday's figure.

Speaking in the Scottish Parliament, Nicola Sturgeon said 18,315 people have tested positive for the virus, up by six from the day before.

There are 646 people in hospital with confirmed or suspected Covid-19, a decrease of 121.

Of these patients, nine were in intensive care, a fall of two.

The new figures were announced as it was confirmed Scotland will move to phase three of the easing of lockdown.
