FIRE services have rushed to a Scottish zoo after a raging fire was seen to fill the sky with smoke.
The emergency services were called to Fife Zoo near Ladybank at 12.11pm today and are still on the scene, according the a spokesperson.
The zoo, which reopened on June 30 after the coronavirus lockdown was eased, has since said that "all humans and animals are safe", although the fire service reported one person had been put in an ambulance and treated for smoke inhalation.
One eyewitness told Fife Free Press: "There is smoke and flames pouring out of the soft play building.
“Luckily the keepers were able to evacuate the marmosets safely. Their enclosure was closest to the site of the fire.
“It looked at one point like the firefighters had got the blaze under control, but the flames have now taken hold of the building.

"It's a devastating blow for the owners, with the facility only in its infancy."
In a Facebook post, Fife Zoo said: "Sadly we have had a fire at Fife Zoo. We are currently closed and will keep everyone updated as best we can.
"All humans and animals are safe. All emergency teams are on site to contain the fire. Thank you for the concern."
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said one person was treated for smoke inhalation.
"We were alerted at 12.11pm on Sunday July 5 to reports of a fire at Fife Zoo near Collessie in Fife.
"Operations control mobilised four appliances, a height appliance and specialist resources.
"Crews are working to extinguish a fire within the roof space of a building.
"One casualty suffering from smoke inhalation has been handed to the care of the ambulance service. Firefighters remain at the scene."
