Could you be a match for Patch?
Name: Patch
Breed: Border Collie
Age: 11
Armchair loving Patch is looking for a new home to spend his golden years and is currently available to meet by appointment at Dogs Trust Merseyside.
He is more refined at the age of 11 but still very active and independent and enjoys wandering off to do his own thing.
He seems to be quite an easy going lad who likes watching the world go by lazily. He enjoys a brief hello and a fuss from people, then he's off looking for things to keep himself entertained.
Georgina Lowery, Manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, says: “Patch is a handsome, fun lad who can be nervous around other dogs and would prefer to be the only pet in the home, although he will walk with quiet, respectful canine friends who will give him space.
"He loves to play, especially fetch with balls, and can be left alone for a few hours after he has settled in. Patch can also live with children over the age of 14.”

Dogs Trust Merseyside is still closed to walk-in members of the public. However, the team can now also book appointments for those dogs who can’t be rehomed using the centre’s new ‘Handover at Home’ process.
Potential new owners will be able to meet the dog they are interested in rehoming at the centre in an outside play area, or in a spacious area that is separate from the main rehoming centre such as a training barn, whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines.
