1The Galvanizers Yard at SWG3, a street-art decorated space that can accommodate 2000 people, is set to open on Friday in line with phase two of the Government’s plan to get us out of lockdown. At this stage SWG3 can confirm that they plan to fully utilise 25,000 sq ft outdoor Galvanizers Yard. The space will be transformed into an outdoor food and drink venue, with music and a backdrop of evolving graffiti walls. Customers will be able to pre-book tables in advance and will order table service via best poke SWG3 App. The new outdoor venue will be open from Thursdays until Sunday from noon until 10pm. 2The National Theatre of Scotland’s Scenes For Survival features three intriguing events this week. Creepy comedy short The Banshee, written and directed by Greg Hemphill, takes place tomorrow. On Wednesday it’s Dreaming Of Edinburgh, an extract from The Breathing House by Peter Arnott. Molly Vevers stars in what’s billed as a playful musing on locked-down lust in “the most erotic city in the world”. 3You may know the building as MoMA or “Conehead’s house” but now you can find out more about the Gallery of Modern Art at Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow, in a show titled Domestic Bliss, an online exhibition that brings together works from the Glasgow Museums collection to reflect on GoMA’s history. With works on show by 27 artists, including Niki de Saint Phalle, Grayson Perry, Jessie M King, Alasdair Gray and Jacqueline Donachie, the exhibition examines domestic labour and feminism, public and private space, intimate relationships and historical narratives. 4 Streetrave, in conjunction with Radisson Red, are going out with a bang. In the last of the online streamed raves on Saturday the two will join forces with some of their favourite DJs for The Grand Finale – LIVEstream. 6Pearl Jam, Ben Gibbard, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Macklemore, Dave Matthews and more Seattle musicians are participating in the All in WA streaming concert to raise money for Covid-19 relief efforts across the old US of A. The concert will be available on Amazon Prime from 3am on Thursday.
7Neil Young (pictured) is keeping it in the family with his Fireside Sessions – his wife will be filming while he gives a live concert from his living room, presumably by the fire.
