THE body of a man found in a park has sparked an investigation. 

A man was sadly found dead in Allander Park and police are puzzling how he died and who he was.

Police and ambulance were called at 11.30am on Thursday to the Milngavie park and pronounced the man dead. 

The area has been cordoned off and officers are carrying out inquiries as to the man's cause of death and his identity. 

A police spokesman said: "Around 11.30am on Thursday, June 4, 2020, officers were called to Allander Park in Milngavie.  Police and ambulance attended and a man has been pronounced dead.

"The area has been cordoned off and officers are currently carrying out enquiries to establish more information surrounding the death and establish his identity. 

"A post mortem will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however it is currently being treated as unexplained.  A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
