MORE than 200 students from schools across Scotland will become the first to achieve the equivalent of a Higher for their entrepreneurial skills when results are announced on June 2.

Despite having to complete assignments online due to lockdown, 230 students will be told they have successfully passed the Young Enterprise Scotland (YES) Company Programme.

The new SCQF accredited qualification was introduced at the start of the 2019/20 academic year.

Each had to set up an operational business to show practical skills as well as demonstrate entrepreneurial drive.
