NICOLA Sturgeon’s calm and measured leadership has helped many Scots cope during the coronavirus crisis.
Perhaps none more so than seven-year-old Matthew, from Stirling, who has received a personal message from the First Minister.
As shown in a heartwarming STV report, the autistic youngster never misses the SNP leader’s daily briefings.
He is given support by Enable Scotland carers, who help look after Matthew and his twin sister.
However, Matthew’s mother Kelly Burrows said that he became anxious upon hearing that people could not come into the house during lockdown.
The youngster said he didn’t want the charity carers to return until his “best friend” Sturgeon said it was ok.
Fortunately, the First Minister delivered a personal message to reassure Matthew that the visits were still permitted.

Responding to the report, Sturgeon, who has mett Matthew previously, tweeted: "Well done, Matthew (and @ENABLEScotland) – look forward to seeing you again soon."
