The National:

SECTIONS of the British media’s contempt for Scotland has long been evident.

But never has it been as blatant as in this astounding clip.

During an interview with Sky News, Nicola Sturgeon was reiterating lockdown advice to Scots amid concerns that Boris Johnson has not made clear that his change in strategy only applies to England.

The Prime Minister last night updated advice from Downing Street, dropping the “stay home” message and adopting a “stay alert” slogan.

The move was rejected by the Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish first ministers.

But as she was explaining advice to Scots during the Sky News interview this morning, the First Minister was interrupted for what must have been urgent news … ie Kay Burley shouting questions at Matt Hancock as he entered Number 10.

As usual, the Health Secretary said nothing of consequence and it was back to Sturgeon.

The FM showed remarkable composure to limit her frustration to a weary head shake.
