THE world's oldest podcaster has died at the age of 101.

Ida Schuster starred in a range of Scottish productions including the popular 1960s shows This Man Craig and Dr Finlay’s Casebook, with later roles in Taggart, Hamish Macbeth and Still Game.

Her career began in the back courts of Glasgow’s tenements during the Great Depression when she staged impromptu performances for her neighbours.

She presented Old School, a podcast produced in Glasgow by Big Light, a new digital broadcasting platform.

The Big Light's founder, Janice Forsyth, confirmed the news on Twitter, saying it was a "huge privilege" to work with Schuster.
