THE National's resident cartoonist, Greg Moodie, has been satiritising the political world in the form of full-size comic strips since he joined the paper as a freelancer in December 2014.
But in the wake of the coronavirus crisis - and subsequent lockdown - shops are closing and people are finding themselves unable to purchase newspapers.
As a result, Greg's weekly comic strips will be moving to online for the next three months, being published every Monday on his website at gregmoodie.com.
But for those who enjoy his comic strips in a more physical format, do not despair.
Greg has set up a crowdfunder, with the ambition of gathering the cartoons produced at the end of the three month period and publishing them in a one-off National-sized tabloid newspaper called The Lockdown Chronicles.
Greg's crowdfunding website states:"In order to do this, I need your help. What I'm asking for is a basic wage for three months and enough to cover the newspaper's production, along with sturdy packaging and postage costs.
"In return, you will have access to all of the cartoons online and receive a hard copy of The Lockdown Chronicles. All contributors, unless they choose anonymity, will be listed in the paper.
"Additional perks include limited edition digital prints of the Robert Burns in Lockdown image and signed hand-painted screenprints of the image, each one unique. These will only be produced to order and will not be available to buy beyond this campaign."
