RUNRIG have had to postpone the streaming of their farewell concert film tonight due to copyright problems.
The band had hoped to lift their fans' spirits amid lockdown with The Last Dance, a 180-minute concert film which captures the band’s final live performance in front of Stirling Castle in 2018.
But the band took to Twitter earlier to express their disappointment, stating that they hope to instead stream the film on April 11.
The band tweeted: "It is with sincere regret that we have had to postpone the livestream this evening. This was due to technical issues beyond our control.
"Along with @BlazingGriffin, we're doing everything we can to work towards the new time of 7pm BST Saturday 11th April."
They added: "Unfortunately, we are experiencing issues with problematic copyright algorithms for all non-UK transmissions. Due to the global pandemic, necessary technical staff are not readily available to resolve the issue.
"This decision was not taken lightly and, although massively disappointing, we feel it is the right one, as we could not guarantee that fans from all regions could share this experience, and we didn’t want anyone to be excluded."
