THE First Minister found herself blushing at her daily coronavirus briefing this afternoon after accidentally using a swear word instead of a journalist’s surname.

Nicola Sturgeon asked to hear from Wave FM reporter Greg Flucker – and you’ll be able to guess which expletive came out of her mouth instead of his name.

Posting the clip online, Evening Telegraph editor Dave Lord asked Flucker if he was happy with Sturgeon’s pronunciation.

The good-natured journalist replied: “The FM isn’t the first and she won’t be the last” followed by a laughing emoji.

The BBC’s Chris Mason retweeted footage, adding: “We all need cheering up, and this is just the job.”
