The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer (C4, 8pm)

JAMES Blunt, Alison Hammond, Alex Jones and Joe Sugg take part in the charity culinary challenge under the watchful eye of presenters Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding and judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. For the signature round, they must prepare a batch of decorated traybakes, while the technical challenge involves a classic British staple. Finally, for the showstopper, they must create a scene out of biscuits depicting what they wanted to be when they grew up.

Back in Time for the Corner Shop (BBC2, 8pm)

THE fascinating series presented by Sara Cox ends by bringing the Ardens and their shop into the 21st century and lets them reflect on how the lessons they have learned could help shopkeepers to continue trading into the future. Even before recent events, these were challenging times for the corner shop. Many local shops have re-invented themselves as convenience stores offering a range of products, but Jo and Dave discover that others have found a way to adapt by becoming the centre of the community.

Our Girl (BBC1, 9pm)

GEORGIE helps with a polio inoculation programme and provides security for Dr Bahil but the thought that Elvis’s killer is still at large continues to consume her. She accompanies the doctor when he travels into the mountains to administer injections, and opens up to him about her painful past. When the mission goes wrong, Dr Bahil’s life is placed in jeopardy. Prof gets a chance to prove himself, and Mimi’s good intentions have worrying repercussions.

Inside Waitrose: Britain’s Poshest Supermarket (C5, 9pm)

FEW shoppers will have been surprised by the results of a recent poll branding Waitrose Britain’s poshest supermarket. This light-hearted documentary takes a closer look at Waitrose’s aspirational image, finding out who its customers are and how geographical differences across the UK are reflected in their buying habits. The programme also finds out just how the chain compares to other supermarkets with a taste test and asks how Waitrose manages to stay relevant to its shoppers.
