MasterChef (BBC1, 9pm)

JOHN Torode and Gregg Wallace preside as six more hopefuls compete in the fifth and final week of heats. They are challenged to serve up their signature dish, with the judges’ favourite two winning a coveted MasterChef apron and a place in the next round. The others must come up with a dish using lemon sole, peppers and Swiss chard, after which two cooks are sent home, leaving the remaining four to cook two courses for 2018 contestant Anthony O’Shaughnessy and formerr champions Steven Wallis and Shelina Permalloo.

Inside the Force: 24/7 (C5, 9pm)

NEW four-part documentary going behind the doors of Lincoln’s West Parade police station, the home of 180 officers looking after a city of almost 200,000 people. Each edition focuses on a different team, including the overstretched response officers, the force control room and the investigations teams. The first edition is in the liveliest part of the station – the custody suite.
