FOLLOWING in the footsteps of Italy vs England, France's Six Nations clash with Ireland has now been postponed over coronavirus concerns, according to reports from a French rugby publication.

Rugbyrama reported that tournament organisers are understood to have decided this morning to call off this weekend France vs Ireland fixture, and have it take place in October instead.

Initially it was thought Scotland vs Wales had been called off too, but ITV Sport has said that is not the case.

The reports come after the UK's Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden said there was "no need" for large gatherings to be cancelled in response to growing numbers of coronavirus cases in the UK. There are currently 18 confirmed cases in Scotland, and 280 across the UK as a whole.
