JAILED Catalan independence leader Oriol Junqueras was cheered by students when he arrived at the Manresa campus of the University of Vic, where he’ll be teaching for three days a week.

He is the latest of the imprisoned indy leaders to be allowed outside of prison on temporary leave and this was his first excursion out of Lledoners jail.

Junqueras – who was jailed for 13 years for sedition – was driven from the prison to Vic, where students cheered him into the building.
