THE UK Government have passed legislation that aims to reduce its carbon emissions to net zero by 2050 - something that they claim is another example of "delivering for Scotland".

In the latest social media post from the "UK Government in Scotland", a video claims that the UK's 2050 target will "grow grow green jobs, clean energy and trees in Scotland".

Of course, there is one little detail they forgot to mention in their video. The Scottish Government has already set its own net zero emissions targets for 2045.

That's five years faster than the rest of the UK.

It's also pretty bold to claim it will be bringing green jobs to Scotland when major cuts in the renewables sector - courtesy of the UK Government in 2018 - left the industry in chaos...
