NICOLA Sturgeon has pledged to improve Scotland’s care structure after meeting more than 1000 youngsters who have experience of the system.

The First Minister promised to listen to young people who had been in care when she launched a review in 2016.

As well as fulfilling her commitment to speak to 1000 care experienced young people, Sturgeon said “immediate actions” have been taken to improve the system. The Independent Care Review, due to be published today, has been looking at the “broader transformation required”.
