SCOTLAND is ready to show Boris Johnson how it feels about him at a "Not My Prime Minister" rally later today. 

More than 1000 people have already confirmed they'll be attending the demonstration in Glasgow, which was only announced this morning.

A further 4000 people are interested in attending the protest, which is being hosted by Stand Up To Racism and will begin at 6pm on the city's Buchanan Street.

Scotland rejected the Conservatives at yesterday's election, voting for 48 SNP MPs, six Tory MPs, four LibDem MPs and just one Labour MP. 

However, as the Tories gained seat after seat in England, the party gained its largest majority since the Thatcher days. 

The final UK-wide results saw the Tories take 364 seats while Labour lagged behind on 203 - its worst performance since 1935.

Jeremy Corbyn announced he would not be taking his party into another election and would be resigning following a period of reflection. 

Meanwhile in Scotland another party leader announced she'd be stepped down. 

Jo Swinson, who had only led the party since July, lost her East Dunbartonshire seat to the SNP last night by just 149 votes.
