The National:

NOTHING quite says "local campaign" like getting the name and constituency wrong on your leaflet drop.

Voters in Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey were no doubt surprised to discover that the latest Lib Dem election material to come through the door was intended for a completely different constituency.

However, the London office of the Liberal Democrats managed to take their ignorance of Scottish geography a step further by getting the name wrong too...

In a photo shared on Twitter by SNP councillor Emma Knox, the Liberal Democrat leaflet appears to spell both Skye and Lochaber incorrectly.

It leaves you wondering if any Scottish people were involved in the production of these flyers... Or when they were delivered... Or at any point really...

Others responded to the post with spelling mistakes they too had noticed in Liberal Democrat material, including a leaflet in Jo Swinson's own constituency that claims she is standing in "East Dunbartonshrie".

Another pointed out that their local candidate was apparently a "belieiver" in the Union - a Freudian slip if ever there was one.

And finally, The Jouker themself received a leaflet that got itself turned around on a rather unusual spelling of "innapropiate", which perhaps sums up this whole sorry campaign.
