BARCLAYS and BT have become the latest high-profile firms to distance themselves from Prince Andrew.

Banking giant Barclays said it will review its involvement with the Duke of York’s tech initiative Pitch@Palace, while telecoms giant BT warned that it will only continue to back a digital skills award scheme if he is dropped as patron.

Several other businesses, universities and charities have severed ties with Andrew in the wake of his BBC interview about his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Meanwhile, TripAdvisor suspended reviews for the Pizza Express in Woking the duke discussed during the Newsnight programme.

Andrew denied he slept with Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s victims, on three separate occasions, twice while she was underage, saying one encounter in 2001 did not happen as he spent the day with his daughter Princess Beatrice, taking her to Pizza Express in Woking for a party.
