THE National’s landmark #indyref2020 rally is tomorrow – and here’s what you need to know about the big day.
We’ve put together an impressive line-up of speakers and entertainment who will come together in a two-hour event which will send a strong message to Westminster about Scotland’s demand for self-determination.
Richard Walker, founding editor of The National, will welcome the crowds to George Square in Glasgow at 1.30pm, before handing over to campaigning MP Mhairi Black (below).
Attendees are advised to get there early to ensure they get to hear Black, whose Commons speeches have gone viral internationally and is sure to get the event off to an amazing start.
Maggie Chapman, convenor of the Scottish Independence Convention, will be next to speak, followed by Catalan and Scots independence campaigner Valentina Servera Clavell.
Patrick Harvie of the Scottish Green Party will take the stage at 2pm, before handing over to popular National columnist and blogger Paul Kavanagh, who writes as the Wee Ginger Dug.
Suzanne McLaughlin will speak on behalf of national organisation Women for Independence, with comedian Janey Godley next to take the mic.

Michael Russell – who, as Cabinet Secretary for Government Business and Constitutional Relations is Scotland’s Brexit lead – will also address the audience.
Humza Yousaf, the Justice Minister, is also set to speak, as is Glasgow City Council leader Susan Aitken.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will take the stage at around 3pm in her first independence rally address since 2014.
The event, which ends at 3.30pm, will be rounded off by Callum Baird, editor of The National.
And we may have one or two tricks up our sleeve.
The rally, the first such event The National has held, is backed by the Scottish Independence Foundation and has garnered significant interest from international media.
Please join us in the centre of Scotland’s biggest city to make sure Westminster hears our message – Scotland demands the right to hold indyref2 in 2020.

If you can, leave your car at home and take advantage of public transport to Glasgow, including nearby bus and train stations.
And, while taking part, please be respectful of the garden and remembrance and the cenotaph.
