BORIS Johnson has suffered a humiliating defeat in Westminster as MPs backed an amendment that will delay Brexit.

MPs back Sir Oliver Letwin's amendment to the Government motion on the Brexit deal by 322 votes to 306.

This means MPs provisionally back Johnson's deal but withhold official approval and force a delay to Brexit until all the relevant legislation implementing a withdrawal agreement has been passed.

The PM has said he will not ask the EU for a delay.

Blackford said Johnson "will find himself in court" if he makes such a move.
