NICOLA Sturgeon has said she believes Labour would be "happy" to see Boris Johnson's Brexit deal go through.

The First Minister was responding to the BBC's Nick Eardley's tweet that Labour will not lose the whip if they back the PM's deal on Saturday.

She said: "Hope I'm wrong but I have a real suspicion that Labour would be quite happy to see this deal go through. They will officially oppose but give nod to 'rebels' to ensure numbers there to pass.
"It will be the end of them in Scotland if they do end up facilitating Brexit."

Sturgeon previously told Labour and other parties seeking SNP support she will not work with them unless they respect Scotland's right to hold indyref2.

She said: "If you don’t respect Scotland’s right to choose our own future at a time of our own choosing, don’t even bother picking up the phone."
