Here are the picks of tonight's TV...

Still Open All Hours (BBC1, 8pm)

DAVID Jason stars in this follow-up to Roy Clarke’s comedy Open All Hours. Once the dogsbody, Granville has inherited the business from his miserly uncle Albert Arkwright, but he is not alone in running the shop – he now has his own assistant in the shape of his son Leroy, who proves more popular with the ladies than his dad ever did. Storylines promised for this series include Eric and Cyril getting a little too close to nature while trying to impress their wives on a camping trip, and Gastric contemplating whether he would rather die than diet.

The Name of the Rose (BBC2, 9pm)

THE abbot hears that the delegation led by Bernard Gui is on its way, prompting him to urge William to find the murderer before their arrival. William works with Severinus, the abbey’s herbalist and scientist, to analyse the monk’s body, concluding that he was poisoned before being thrown in the vat. They soon realise that a highly lethal poison from the herbalist’s collection has been taken. When their trail leads them to the infamous library, William and Adso devise a plan to enter the labyrinth, but quickly realise not everything is as it seems once inside.

Caravanning with Shane Richie (C5, 9pm)

THE former Pontins bluecoat takes on a mission to persuade friends, family and the British public about the great fun to be had at caravan parks in Britain. Here, the actor and presenter heads to Rhyl, north Wales, where he and his extended family accept accommodation in three static caravans. The EastEnders star then tries to win them all over to this type of holiday, highlighting attractions such as bingo, and rounders on the beach.

Would I Lie to You? (BBC1, 9.30pm)

ROB Brydon returns to present the 13th series, alongside regular team captains David Mitchell and Lee Mack. The panellists joining them and hoping to hoodwink their opponents with plausible lies are Gabby Logan, Chris McCausland, Angela Scanlon and John Simm.
