Jenny Black from Brechin won the award and wants to go on to teach young children
AN Edinburgh University student from Brechin has been awarded Gaelic Learner of the Year by the Royal National Mod.
Jenny Black was presented the award by retired dairy entrepreneur Alexander C Wilkie as the adult competitions got under way in Glasgow yesterday.
Commonly known as Literature Day and supported by the Scottish Qualifications Authority, competitions include drama, poetry and storytelling.
She is currently studying a Provision of Gaelic medium education course at Edinburgh University and hopes to go on to teach young children Gaelic.
