The National:

IF you had to guess, what would you say the Prime Minister's biggest problem is right now?

The Jennifer Arcuri scandal? Allegations that he squeezed a young journalist's thigh 20 years ago? The Supreme Court finding his prorogation of Parliament unlawful? The impending Brexit deadline? The Irish backstop? His lack of a Commons majority?

Nope. You've got it all wrong, dear readers. Boris Johnson's key issue is his use of unsustainable drinking receptacles.

Well don't take my word for it. This video of his staff going into meltdown mode as he gets near the cameras while holding a plastic coffee cup speaks for itself, surely.

The footage shows one staffer pass the Prime Minister a plastic coffee cup, to which he says "thank you".

A second staffer goes "hmm you shouldn't ... " before he gets the chance to ask "what's this?".

She then takes it out of his hands as he makes surprised noises.

Then she adds "No disposable cups" in a VERY serious voice before clearing her throat.

It's like something out of the House of Cards or the West Wing. You know, going behind the scenes, seeing how politics *really* works ...

Anyway, can somebody make sure poor Mr Johnson can get a reusable cup?
