THE American businesswoman and former model with links to Boris Johnson at the centre of a media storm is reportedly "terrified" after her laptop was stolen.

Last week the Prime Minister was referred to the police complaints body to assess whether he should face a criminal investigation over his links with Jennifer Arcuri while he was mayor of London.

The Greater London Authority (GLA) said its monitoring officer had recorded a "conduct matter" against Johnson over allegations Arcuri received favourable treatment because of her friendship with him while he was mayor.

The Sunday Times reported that the entrepreneur confided to four of her friends that they had been engaged in an affair during his time in City Hall.

The paper also reported that Arcuri had been given £126,000 in public money and privileged access to three foreign trade missions led by Johnson while he was mayor.

The Prime Minister has insisted “everything was done with full propriety” and denied there is any interest to declare.

Now the 34-year-old is reportedly "extremely agitated" after a laptop containing personal information - like pictures and emails - relating to "the time she knew" Johnson was stolen in Britain within the last 10 days.

A friend of the 34-year-old told The Mirror newspaper: “Jennifer is extremely agitated and upset.

"Her laptop contains so much personal information covering the time she knew Boris.

"She is racking her brains as to what it may hold.

"There are pictures, emails and documents on the laptop which she is terrified could be hawked around if someone gains access to it."

Asked about the allegations regarding Arcuri last week, Johnson denied any wrongdoing.

He said: “Let’s be absolutely clear, I am very, very proud of everything that we did and certainly everything that I did as mayor of London.”

He also accused his successor Sadiq Khan of “peddling” reports about Arcuri, adding: “I may say that the current mayor of London could possibly spend more time investing in police officers than he is investing in press officers and peddling this kind of stuff.”
