BAFTA-WINNING comedian Iain Stirling will return to his hometown next year to record his first hour-long stand-up special for Amazon Prime Video.

The programme, set to be filmed in the spring, will be exclusively available on the service in 200 countries and territories.

On March 29 the Love Island narrator will head to Edinburgh's King's Theatre for two performances, one at 5pm and another at 7.30pm. Tickets for both sets are available now at iaindoesjokes.com.

The special will feature Stirling's new stand-up show Failing Upwards which he is touring through 2020, and will explore subjects including his inability to function in public settings, social media pressure and the time a man stole his shoes.

Alongside narrating five series of Love Island, Stirling has competed in BAFTA and Emmy-nominated Taskmaster, starred in his own 30-minute special on Comedy Central Live, hosted three series of physical comedy entertainment CelebAbility and appeared on Comedy Bus.

The comedian's latest critically-acclaimed stand-up show U Ok Hun?x sold out the entire Edinburgh Festival Fringe in advance of it opening and the subsequent national tour was twice extended.
